展览主题 Exhibition Theme:

X代表着未知的世界，
X代表着文化的交错与沟通，
X代表着延伸的无限可能性，
X代表着无解的答案。
在同一时空内，
我们把11位东西方年轻设计师的作品统一呈现，
希望能带来X般的未知的反应和回响。

X展的展示形式正如展览的名字X，
寓意着所有参与到本次展览中的人们都能够获取无穷尽的思想和创意力量，
也为每一个来参观展览的人提供自由行走和思考的空间，
使大家从一个不可预料的展览中预见到一种可猜想的未来设计流向。
“X”它不单单是一个把东西方的设计师、设计文化连接起来的符号，
也象征一个让所有参与者在一起碰撞出火花，
带来惊喜与思考的未知领域。

X represents the unknown world, the staggered cultural communication,
the extension of the unlimited possibilities and the answer to the unresolved symbol.
We show 11 east & west designers’ works in the same space simultaneously and hope to bring all of us a “X” feedback and further thinking.

The display forms of X Exhibition wish to imply that all the visitors could absorb endless ideas and creative power through the interactive process.
Ultimately, an unpredictable future of design could be appreciated around the freely walking space.

“X” not only means a symbol to connect east & west designers with the culture behind it,
but also a sign of leading direction to unknown world which is full of surprise and inspiration.

展览介绍 Exhibition Introduction:

“X展” 是GDC平面设计在中国的外围展，
由平面设计在中国07展的5位评委，
由GDC国际评委（美国 Michael Rock、英国 David Ellis、日本新村则人 Norito Shinmura、
中国香港李永铨 Tommy Li、中国大陆陈绍华 Chen Shaohua）
推荐的11位各国年轻设计师的作品所组成，
组委会在接受他们做为GDC国际评委身份的同时，
目光也转向评委身边嘉许的设计师，
希望通过多层面的交流带给大家多角度的思考。
参展的11位设计师代表着设计领域不同领域的顶尖发展趋势和方向，
参展作品涉及空间，多媒体数字技术，装置，影像，实验音乐，产品设计，海报设计，书籍装桢和动画等.

“X Exhibition” ，hosted by Sense Media Institution，
is one of the branches of GDC serial activities. All the 10 exhibitors are recommended by 2007 GDC international judges
(Michael Rock, David Ellis, Norito Shinmura, Tommy Li, Chen Shaohua).
While accepting them as the status of international judges,
organizers also pay closer attention to the recommended young designers and hope to put forward viewpoints in different aspects through multi-level exchanges.
All the 10 young exhibitors represent leading trends of design in various fields.
The exhibits conclude space; installation; movie; music; graphic design; illustration; book design; cartoon and so on.

Linked by Air is the graphic design partnership of Tamara Maletic and Dan Michaelson.
Their approach is practical, hands-on and collaborative.
They are experienced in several media, including print, online, and installations in the environment.
They specialize in the design and production of public space, both physical and online.
They often experiment programming in-house so that design and technology are intertwined in inventive processes.

声音艺术家

曾任SOHO和750MPH的声音设计师。
擅长编辑，搜录情景声音、人声和自然的声音并以电子混音方式多轨编制；
为多部电影和动画配音；制作各种大型实验声音装置项目；
在孟斐斯、维也纳、荷兰等地参与多次音乐秀和音乐节等活动。
成立独立声音制作公司后，面向客户包括Saab, Nike, Intro和Why Not Associates.

Sound designer

Editing, recording foley, dialogue, location sound and creating a multi-channel soundtrack;
Create sound design works for short films, motion graphics and installations.
After two years working in SOHO for the Sound Designers and 750 MPH,
he set up his own sound company working for clients such as Saab, Nike, Intro,
and Why Not Associates.
He also exhibited sound installations and performed internationally in Memphis,
Vienna and Holland.

军司匡宽 Tadahiro Gunji

毕业于东京国立艺术大学，
获设计学士，成为NDC会员，漫画集团mashcomix的成员之一。
2002年开始在日本设计中心工作。2006年参与建立Koiso设计研究所，成为平面设计师和视觉总监。
他已在one dot zero,RESFEST,etc展示过他的作品。
2007年赢得JAGDA（日本平面设计师协会）新人奖

Born in Fukui Prefecture in 1978, raised in Saitama Prefecture.
Graduated from Tokyo National Art University in 2002 and immediately began working at the Nippon Design Center.
Gunji's film has been screened at One Dot Zero 2003;
Extended Play 03 and RESFEST2002 ; RESMIX SHORTS.
He is a member of Mashcomix
2007 Win JAGDA (Japan Graphic Designers Association) Newcomer Prize

在明治学院就读文学专业过程中偶然看到了龟仓雄策的宣传海报，从此改变志向。
2000年加入E.有限公司,合作客户包括三菱UFJ信托银行、RECRUIT MEDIA COMMUNICATIONS、START TODAY、Cross Marketing等。
2007年赢得JAGDA（日本平面设计师协会）新人奖

毛灼然 Javin Mo

香港本土平面设计师，
milkxhake的合作者。
2004年受邀参加FABRICA, 意大利 Benetton研究和交流中心
2004-2005年任FAB（季刊）的艺术总监。
2005年自意大利回国后，
和互动媒体设计师Wilson Tang重新合伙启动milkxhake ，自此成为香港最有活力的设计团队。

Javin的作品获得众多国际奖项，包括’ Tokyo Type Directors Club Awards (04/06) ，在HKDA获一金，一银，一铜奖项 (05/07).
2006, 获得纽约ADC的Young Guns 5 Award ，
2007年获英国D&AD大奖。
他的作品广泛见诸报端。

98后至于03年曾任职于香港李永栓设计楼，
并在其创办的vq杂志担任主力设计，04年获应邀加入意大利贝纳传信研究中心，
作品曾奖见于COLORS和idn多本杂志

Javin Mo, a Hong Kong based graphic designer and co-founder of milkxhake.
In 2004 he was invited to join FABRICA,
the Benetton Research and Communication Center in Italy and from 2004 to 2005 he was the art director of FAB,
the FABRICA quarterly magazine.
After came back from Italy in 2005,
he re-initiated milkxhake with interactive designer Wilson Tang as one of the most energetic design collective in Hong Kong.

Javin’s works have been selected for numerous international design awards including the Tokyo Type Directors Club Awards (04/06)
and received 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze in the Hong Kong Designers Association Awards (05/07).
In 2006, he received the Young Guns 5 Award by the New York Art Directors Club.
He also received 2 merits award at the 86th New York Art Directors Club Annual and the British D&AD Awards 2007.
His works have been widely published in design magazines and journals internationally.

林伟雄 Hung Lam

1973年生于香港。
2003年和Eddy Yu（余志光）建立 CoDesign Ltd.
除了拥有对设计的满腔热情外， 他还积极参与国际文化，艺术和设计项目。
这几年来他获得了一系列的重要国际奖项。
他的部分作品被Osaka Suntory，Plakatsammlug Museum fur Gestaltung Zurich in Switzerland，
Museum fur kunst und Gewerbe and Hong Kong Heritage Museum博物馆收藏。
2002年，受Shinnoske Sugisaki（Osaka顶尖设计师）和日本政府之邀参加设计文化交流项目。
2004年1月，他和Shinnoske合作出版一本书名为Elementism 2（本次交流活动的简述），这本书是由他设计和撰写的。
他这几年来从平面设计领域扩展到媒体创意表达。

Hung LAM established CoDesign Ltd with Eddy Yu in 2003.
Besides his enthusiasm for his design work,
LAM has been actively participating in international cultural,
art and design projects. LAM has won a number of prominent international design awards over the years.
Some of his works have become a permanent collection for V&A Museum in England,
Osaka Suntory Museum in Japan, Plakatsammlung Museum fur Gestaltung Zurich in Switzerland,
Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe and Hong Kong Heritage Museum.

In 2002, he was invited by Shinnoske Sugisaki,
one of the top graphic designers in Osaka and the Agency for Cultural Affairs of Japanese government,
for a cultural and design fellowship program. In January 2004,
LAM and Sugisaki co-published a book, called ‘Elementism 2’ as a summing-up for this exchange program.
The book was designed and written by LAM.

Recent years, LAM has extended his creativity and vision from graphic design across media.
His shows include ‘Building Hong Kong redwhiteblue’ (2004, Hong Kong),
‘My Moleskine’ (2004, Hong Kong), “Bombay Sapphire ‘Bluelit’ Exhibition” (2005, Hong Kong),
‘Hide and Seek with Kitty and Friends’ (2005, Hong Kong),

1996年3月25日西安美院为其举办画展并受藏作品5件；
1996年6月陕西电视台国际关系部为其拍了一部专题片《龙门和敦煌的故事》；
1998年陕西教育出版社作为发展少儿创造性思维素质教育的个案，出版陈龙阙、陈敦煌画册《龙行天下》，并在全国第九届书展上举办陈龙阙、陈敦煌画展；
2000年1月参加了西安首届CIS平面设计邀请展；
2000年6月1日被选送到美国参加“中美儿童画交流展”；
2006年陕西美术出版社出版陈龙阙、陈敦煌画册《龙说•说龙》；
2006年陈龙阙、陈敦煌考上西安美术学院，至今为中央美院借读生。
